Live in the Castro with Em North

Posted on Mon, June 06, 2022  Em North/em16 (she/they) is a tattooer, activist, and visual artist analyzing figurative depiction through large-scale immersive paintings and drawings on paper. Primarily self-taught, em began tattooing in 2009 in Brooklyn, NY. In 2016 they opened The Scarlet Letter, a tattoo studio focused on providing an inclusive safe(r) environment for LGBTQ folks and clients seeking tattoos to cover scars from top surgery and self harm. Em currently lives and works in NYC and Philadelphia.
